Reaching for their Dreams
These are my first batch of students when I decided to teach in public school. They are Mangyan or indigenous people in Oriental Mindoro specifically in Naujan South. Even though their life was simple, they persevere themselves to achieve their dreams.
Because they wanted to be an educated individual they are trying their best to study hard and listen to the teachers. Because somehow and someday they will use it to face a battle in their life.
Despite of being a Mangyan, they have also many dreams in their life. Some students are wanted to become a businessman, pilot, police, teacher and many more.
Even if they don't have food or money to go to the school, they are motivated to study because they have their goals and they wanted to achieve it. Some students don't have pencil or papers but they are trying to learn new things or new lessons. They are so eager to study because they wanted to help their parents and the community where they lived.
Education is so important to them because they know that it is the key for them to reach their dreams and to be a successful individual someday. And I wish that someday they are all professionals or they achieve their dreams.
Education has the power to transform people's situation from defecate to extravagant. Thank you for the encouragement @macneil..
