Hi Guys,

Here's my update for Today

Ohh a beautiful skyline , a symbol of economic progress

The PSEi declined on Friday, losing 21.84 points or 0.28% to 7,672.28.
Index decliners led gainers 17 to 11, while 2 issues remained unchanged. Sectors ended mixed with Mining & Oil (-1.64%) leading the decliners and Property (+0.54%) leading the gainers. Significant index decliners were GLO (-4.21%), MPI (-3.92%), MEG (-2.79%), SCC (-2.68%), and FGEN (-2.63%). Meanwhile, significant index gainers were TEL (+3.03%), GTCAP (+2.89%), and SMPH (+1.50%). Value turnover decreased to Php4.2Bil from Php7.2Bil in the previous session. Meanwhile, foreigners continued to be net sellers, disposing Php715Mil worth of shares.

Personal Thoughts:
PSE stills continue to slide down despite positive foreign inflows last April. Another thing to watch out for is the the rising inflation rates. AS for my stocks, the DICT already set the August as a target date for the 3rd player TELCO selection. Currently i hold both TEL and GLO and this development could have an impact on these companies dividend earnings. I will be monitoring these on the days ahead. Hopefully they (GLO,TEL) have something in play to remain competitive and still meet their dividend obligations.

This is where diversification kicks in. As you can see i hold dividend stocks on a multitude on industries like Property, Power, Media and Financial Services. I am planning to expand to other defensive industries as well (like consumer goods) but currently majority of them are overvalued as of the moment.

HOPING FOR YOUR FINANCIAL SUCCESS
