PATRON SAINT OF THE DAY: For the Second Vatican Council
The 22nd of January is the Feast of Saint Vincent Pallotti.
Living in Italy in the 1800's, Vincent was a contemporary of the Curie of Ars. In 1835, he founded the Union of Catholic Apostolate, encouraging greater discourse and communion among the various Catholic Rites. It was also during this time that Vincent ministered to the faithful during a cholera epidemic.
Saint Vicent Pallotti, ora pro nobis!
