There are a few reasons why I prioritize war (or ending wars) above all other political issues.

If only it was as easy as that. Ending wars, I fear is plain wistful thinking. Just like you said, all that we see going on now, was planned a long time ago. A cycle set in motion by the bigger guns. Whatever change we effect now, might be imprinted only in the near future.
