I agree that we need to take control, instead of mindlessly following a conveyor belt we must mindfully make choices each day to deepen our understanding, be better people. I do think that there is an important connection to how we treat other people and how the universe treats us. You can call it karma, but we reap what we sow, that is a universal law.

Exactly. We can label things all we want calling it "V" or "5" but at the end it all boils down to cause and effect even when things seem infinitely complicated.

Indra's net (also called Indra's jewels or Indra's pearls, Sanskrit Indrajāla) is a metaphor used to illustrate the concepts of Śūnyatā (emptiness), pratītyasamutpāda (dependent origination), and interpenetration in Buddhist philosophy.
The metaphor was developed by the Mahayana school in the 3rd century Avatamsaka Sutra and later by the Huayan school between the 6th and 8th centuries.
