RE: The Eye of Providence and the Wheel of Fortune

in #philosophy7 years ago (edited)

Excellent post! Syneidesis and synderesis are new words to me!

eidenai (knowledge) made me think of Adonai (a Hebrew name for God).

With prudence, it's scruple that popped inside my head.

1350-1400; (< French scrupule) < Latin scrūpulus unit of weight, worry, precaution equivalent to scrūp(us) rough pebble + -ulus -ule; replacing earlier scriple, Middle English < Latin scrīpulum (variant scriptulum) small weight, pebble, alteration of scrūpulus by association with scrīptum writing

To weigh (sounds like wait which can sometimes be a synonym of anticipate) as to what one should do next?

Hehe, nice play on words there. And yeah scrupulus as weight is that we also put weight into thinking about something to measure it's viability as an option to choose from. Is it weighed towards what's right, or wrong? Thanks for the feedback.
