What Makes You Believe In Something?
Everything in this world is fluid even the beliefs that we have. Like a fluid that follow the shape of its container, a certain belief must fit a certain context.
Let me ask you, what makes you believe in something? Is it because someone in authority told you so? Is it because you learned it from school or from your parents? Could it be that you're so used to it that your mind accepts it to be true?
Would you agree that the only credible proof to make you believe in something is when you experience it and when your intuition tells you so?
Why? Because this world is a bowl of truth and lies which appears too identical to the basic human senses. We have to use our higher sense of intuition to see clearly. But not all intuitions are real. Sometimes, intuition is clouded by insecurities, fear, pride or over expectation that what you see is not the real thing, but a cloud of feelings. There must be a clarity within to listen to your intuition. But how to gain clarity?
Compartmentalization is the ability to put one's thoughts and feelings into each designated compartments and locked it in for a while. For such time, your mind is clear of any clutter or existing ideas. That's the best time to listen to your inner guiding system- the intuition.
If you based your belief on media, you are living within the imagination of the director. If based it on your parents or teachers, you are living within the borders of what they know. And if you based it on what is written on a book or article, you are living within the mind of the writer.
Would you believe everything that is written here?
I would like to make you think on your feet.
