The Soul Trap Theory

in #philosophy8 years ago (edited)

Are you aware of this concept? Have you ever heard this mentioned anywhere? If not then keep an open mind. You don't have to believe it. The concept is not difficult to understand but if true accepting it could be quite another story. But the basic premise is simple. In short the matrix is real.

But unlike the movie, we are not mere avatars in a simulation. Our entire lives as humans are nothing more than a simulation. "We" are individual beings who live for eternity experiencing experience in any way that we can. That we live beyond time and space and we simply are.  Now there are multiple interpretations of how we ended up here, but the general consensus among those who subscribe to this theory is that we agreed to come here and live a human life for whatever reasoning we had. Whether it be to experience life as a human, or if it is to rescue the others.

After you agree to come live one human life cycle you are born. Your memory of your true nature and true existence is lost to the human experience. When you are old enough to remember your day to day and communicate with others you have no knowledge of the past. You are simply a child in the care of their parents. You get older, you live life. You hurt others and you are hurt. You learn the ways of this world and this life. You are accustomed to life on this world which is all you know. You get old and finally you die. When you die, typically people report that they leave their body and find themselves passing though a tunnel towards a light that they are eager to get close to. The light is the trap.

The light is a program. The light invokes feelings of love and togetherness and warmth which draws the newly departed in like a fly to a bug zapper. When the individual approaches the light typically they are experiencing things far beyond the capacity to feel as a human living on earth and they often find it difficult to put into language the magnitude of the things that they have felt. After having an amazing experience thus far typically (but not always) there is a life review. The individual is made to feel ashamed for the negative acts that they have had as a human which more often then not are common experiences for us all. But the light is willing to show mercy and the individual is offered a second chance to come back and get it right, when the decision is made to try again they are once again born as a child with no memory of the events just like last time. The child eventually grows old and dies only to meet the same fate, over and over and over again.

Sounds wild and disturbing right? Here's the twist. When you actually do some research on the topic and realize not only is this plausible, but just may in fact be the truth to our fucked up reality. Now obviously there is a threshold that can't be crossed from this existence to the next for that's where the trail of information in this cycle dies. But In these NDE's once you get past the awe of the descriptions of the experiences, you see a chilling pattern emerge. Keep in mind everyone comes back to tell these stories but they reveal way more to the person who wants more answers.

First the person dies and they begin their out of body experience. Some people are there right next to the body and others report gaining consciousness in an all black environment absent of light. Then they notice the presence of the light or they feel it and many are often pulled toward it if they don't move towards it on their own. Many mention that they feel like they are moving at a high rate of speed through a tunnel or across a landscape. When they arrive at the light many report feeling like they are home and on the other side is the real reality and this is the simulation. They report being overcome with feelings of love and joy like they just railed a fat blast of the best molly ever simply by being in the presence of the light in which case it is also common for people to report being able to feel the light being washed over them.

Now from this point all the individual experiences vary from person to person but you will find that the light will show or say whatever the individual needs to see or hear to make the decision to come back from claiming to be god asking the individual to return for the greater good of the bigger picture to the what will your children do feeling being invoked inside the individual. You can choose to leave this cycle of repetitive slavery if you want, but you have to make the choice on your own. There is an experience in there that specifically mentions that he was able to sense the exit and that he knew he was free to leave these worlds if he wished, he just made the choice not to. And there doesn't seem to be any rule that says you can't be lied to about making a misappropriated decision based on false information about coming back, in short you literally get to live another life based on that bad info.

It would be accurate to say that the other world that lies right beyond this one that awaits us all also doubles as a sophisticated simulation area that the light can use to generate any environment for you that it pleases, one that is typically used to give you an experience far greater than the scope of human perception in this lifetime. But there are also many other interesting things reported about being in this natural state. Sometimes people report being in a kinda ghost self but more often than not those who cross over are the true self which is described as being a ball of pure energy. If you have ever perceived yourself in a dream but not being in your actual body this is very similar to how people describe it although many others also specifically mention that unlike a dream their consciousness was sharp and acutely aware no different than had they just been awake and going about their day.

What exactly this energy is I've not read anything on as far as composition but obviously its some form of energy that can accommodate consciousness. People often reported being able to see 360 degrees. People often reported that thought = creation is instant. People often report being immediately connected to a matrix of information where they suddenly just know everything and have access to it like their mind was a calculator but the instant return of information wasn't limited to math. These are all traits that are commonly reported that seem to be available to any human after consciousness leaves the Earthly body. Every single one of these stories have something in common, the individuals all chose to come back to Earth. Many people report that when they descend from the heavens back into their body that the feeling is wrong that it feels unnatural and they regret their decision. Then they either wake up in the hospital or in their bed or where ever their body was and then they are left with their experience that they had shared.

So is it true? I'm not sure. But there is evidence available, evidence that you couldn't just google and have access to even 30 years ago. I won't be the one to say this is true and you have to believe it, but I will be the one to ask you to check it out for yourself, and form your own opinion. Whatever is out there, its better to have an idea what it is, and if you find yourself being asked by the light to come back to earth, perhaps its better to make that choice. Nobody knows what's beyond that threshold.

Ha! I was just having a similar discussion. I won't claim to know, but I like to think there is a 'veiled plane' that ties things together. To avoid a wall of text I just toss this out there:

Depends if you get that option some may only get one direction to go and that's down . They always tell you to follow the light, That's were I'm hopefully heading

Could there be a God afterall???

Something or someone must have caused this all to happen?!

Interesting, I also do believe that the world is weird, I have always asked myself why does al this exist? Wouldn't be easier for nothing to exist at all? Why is this all happening? I have yet to find an answer to that.

I don't know too much about this specific theory, but the more I think about the general idea of the world being a simulation the more evidence and convincing hints I seem to find. I love this thought. Life is a game anyways. But looking at it like that can become a problem too. Still don't know if it's true so I decided to stay agnostic :)
