HOW WILL YOU DIE?
Good Afternoon Steemians!
Over the past few days I've been pulled away, learning and growing as we tend to do. Lessons about mortality, and again, time.
In my opinion, the most valuable truly measureable thing in life is time, and what we do in that time is exceedingly important.
When we were children, it seemed as though time moved much slower. We were engrossed with every second as it passed waiting for the next to come. Summers seeming never ending, until school time re approached.
Time today, to me anyways, seems to be ever fleeting. It is almost as if it is moving faster and faster. Is it though? Is time really something that speeds up or slows down, seeming as though the rate of the clock's tick is growing faster and faster with ever day, or are we engaging with time differently, experiencing it in a different way?
Just as a "retrograde" planet seems to be moving backward due to optical illusion based on our perspective, the rate of time is perceived in the same way. It moves faster or slower based upon how we are engaging with it, and every single second is precious.
To those who believe in things such as universal orchestration, we enter our lives with a pre agreed upon contract. There are things that we are to be doing, lives to touch, positive change to create, and ripples to generate.
Each and every day we are presented with choices. Choices on how to do this, or how to do that, or should I do this with my invaluable time, or should I do that? Will I service my waist line with Netflix and an oreo, or will I serve those around me by bringing their lives value? With whom will I share my precious time, or upon whom will I throw it away? Most importantly, are we using it, in the best possible way, in this present moment?
Steemians, I encourage you, fully engage with your lives, engage with every moment by fully embracing it for the precious thing that it is. How would your face light up if somebody placed a 2.5 karat diamond, or 5 ounces of gold in your hand? Would you marvel at it's beauty? Would you understand why it is people have placed such a high value on it?
Instead, wonder why people place such a low value on such a priceless thing such as your time.
What is it that you can be doing with your time to bring it's value to others? Are you using it to it's full potential, or are you throwing the diamonds that are your seconds and minutes in the mud to be trampled and forgotten?
A moment that touched my life a few years back, bringing me out of the world of sales, and back into health care, and counseling was when I heard a recording that said:
"Imagine yourself on your death bed, and around you, standing the ghosts and spirits of all of the people that You, and only you, could have impacted in the way they needed, the people you were called to touch, to heal, and to bring your unique value to. How will you die? "
The thought haunted me, and these past few days, I was again reminded of it.
Be diligent Steemians, in knowing that you are doing the most you can with the time you have. Be diligent in your work here, as a soul, unique, special and wonderful.
Fulfill your tasks and contracts, and most of all, Fearlessly dare to be yourself!
Until next time, I hope you are blessed, well, wonderful and bountiful!
