What the hell is wrong with these people?

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.

But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

Jannes and Jambres are the sorcerers that turned their sticks into serpents just as Moses did. Thereby proving there is power outside of God's, but it does not prove selling out to the dark side is profitable in the end. Bob Dylan said, "You gotta serve somebody." I believe this is true. If you fail to make a conscious choice you are defaulting into darkness. That is why Jesus constantly spoke of hell, to bring it to the forefront of the mind. Hell was made for Satan and fallen angels, not for humans. He made a way out of hell and into relationship with father God. The only way people end up in hell is by declining His offer to escape it. It has nothing to do with what you have done in this life. Your actions will determine your standing in heaven and your rewards, not whether you enter in. Unfortunately, ignorance is no excuse because He knows exactly what you heard and what you ignored or pursued. He may even mention this post! Therefore, I hope you take a few minutes to contemplate what you have read.

For men shall be" and then the extensive list of behaviors you may feel you are encountering more and more. It is not your imagination, it is a sign of the times. Which is all the more reason to stop and think where you stand in your relationship to Christ and His gift of redemption.
