Do YOLO?

Yolo "You only live once."
I read sauravrungta's post including that saying last night and I can relate to it totally. I like to question a lot of things though. I'm curious like that. I thought about the reason why people say it, and clearly it's a realization and inspirational thought to help kick us into gear and live life to the fullest with what precious time we have left. That's my natural emotional reaction to it... But then I thought about those that believe in an afterlife - many people do.

So my question is, if you think you live twice does that make this life feel less precious? If not, why does Yolo signify anything?

The thing that keeps me going is uncertainty and the unknown. I think that's exciting and I think it's good to be open minded for things we can't fully explain. I don't know if we'll only live once, twice or infinite times. It's even theoretically possible that this could all be a simulation, as many have stated. Maybe one day we'll be able to live forever, and in that case, how does it feel when YOLO becomes YOLF?
