Lanikai Pillbox Hike - Best of Oahu

The Lanikai Pillbox Hike, also popularly known as the Kaiwa Ridge Trail, is one of the most picturesque and pleasant Oahu hiking trails. This intermediate hike rises just above beautiful Lanikai Beach Oahu, rewarding hikers with some of the best vistas of Oahu’s windward side. Sneakers or tennis shoes are fine, although in winter hiking boots are recommended.

TheTrail is a 1.6 mile moderately used by traffic out and back trail located near Kailua, Hawaii which features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate hike in terms of intensity. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and trail running and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Without being too excessive in height and distance, certainly an enjoyable day had by all overlooking "The Mokes"This short, sometimes narrow trail features 2 military bunkers & a panoramic view of Lanikai Beach below:)
