Canada's Cultural Capital
Welcome to Montreal, if this is your first time visiting our lovely city you should consider checking out The Festival International de Jazz de Montreal, as it is the biggest Jazz festival of it's kind anywhere in the world. During the 25th anniversary of the Montreal Jazz Festival according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the city of Montreal saw the greatest attendance for a Jazz festival to date, which attracted 1,913,868 festival-goers over the duration of the 10-day Event.

If jazz music that originated sometime in the early nineteen-hundreds is not really your thing, Montreal has the one of the only stop in North America for Formula 1 racing which attracts an international crowd of spectators. Formula 1 is most certainly one of the world's most prestigious forms of Motorsport. The "Formula" is comprised of a group of high-tech cars designed to a specific set of rules. The Formula 1 circuit has stops in select cities around the world and when F1 lands in Montreal in early June every year, Montreal is most certainly at its best offering beautiful weather and fantastic accommodations for those who can manage to squeeze in a reservation before the madness of F1 week kicks into high gear in the Province of Quebec. During Formula one week in Montreal promoters, event planners as well as businesses spend more money than any other week of the year to attract tourist dollars to their businesses making F1 week a win-win for people who are traveling to the city during that time of the year, even if a traveler decides to visit and not actually attend the race. The parties happening over F1 week are bigger, better, sexier and louder during Grand Prix week somehow than any other week of the year in Montreal for sure, just ask anybody living here!
Montreal is also home to the Bitcoin Embassy which happens to be the first physical space in the world that was dedicated to Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrency development. Considering how fast the Blockchain is emerging in the world as a leading technology and resource for companies internationally, a visit to the Bitcoin Embassy for any Bitcoin maximalist is a must, when visiting the city core in the most trendy district of the city.
Younger travels will be happy to learn unlike the rest of Canada where the legal drinking age is 19, in Montreal and the whole province of Quebec the legal age to enter a bar is 18 years old.
(AXWELL at NEW CITY GAS)
Montreal is definitely on top of the party game and the nightlife is second to none when compared to the rest of Canada. Travelers wanting to experience a slice of local life here in Montreal are going to find non-stop parties and festivals year-round.
The province of Quebec is home to the Montreal Canadians Hockey Club. The Montreal Canadians are the most winning hockey team in NHL history with 23 Stanley Cup wins ranging from 1924 with the last Stanley Cup being won in 1993. Although Montreal has not won the Stanley Cup in a few years, Montreal is always an exciting City to watch hockey live and is most certainly a historic hockey town to learn about the sport in general from locals and sports enthusiasts alike. Everybody in Montreal supports the Habs which is the nickname lovingly given to the hockey team by locals. Watching the game at the Bell Center home of the Montreal Canadians while you're in town is always going to be an epic night.
I was able to capture the first image of a Montreal Skyline at sunset using a Nikon D4. This photograph is a panoramic/HDR. Although this image is not a 360-degree panoramic, this particular photo still required a significant amount of photos to capture at 80 images in total stitched as well as merged between the HDR technique and the panoramic view.
If you have been to Montreal ever, I want to hear about your adventure if you have a second to leave a comment. It is always interesting to learn how travelers spend time out here when visiting.
