Lost in the Mist

in #photofeed5 years ago

A break from my usual vibrant long exposures with calm morning forest scene. A way to start or end your week on this cold Melbourne evening.

I do enjoy my grand scenes of open expansive landscapes. But sometimes a calming environment with only the sounds of water drops taping the leaves on their decent to the forest floor is all I need.

Wow. That looks refreshing. I want to go back and spend time with nature again. :)

it is definitely refreshing!

Did you by yourself for this shot? I want to go mountain and take photos as well. Did you edit the photo by the way or it's raw from the camera shot?

It's an easy place to get to outside of Melbourne and is a popular place to drive. Everything I shoot goes through some processing but this one is fairly close to out of camera RAW

We drove up through something like that to go play in snow some years ago. It’s so beautiful, and way too cold for me 🤣 hope you didn’t freeze taking this 🙃

It was just some early morning mist, not quite high enough for snow. Was still a little chilly :)

The gale and winds have been terrible in the last few days. I hope you are keeping warm <3

Beautiful shot, it makes me think about gothic movies......

Heating and layered clothing works wonders :)

We went for a drive to Apollo Bay last week - it was freezing, and windy, with bark everywhere... waterfalls gushing - mist - extraordinary and beautiful. Wild Dog Road, which runs between Forrest/Apollo Bay Road and Apollo Bay is a fabulous drive with some great ops for photos next time you are down that way.

It's a beautiful place and that road has some nice twists and turns! It can be very cold and windy though too

Yes very. It was fairly dangerous the other day with high winds but fun as well. I did not Envy the workers driving back to Colac from there though. There were a few trees down and all. Xx
