Recent 2-day workshop, Scotland, September 2018

in #photofeed6 years ago

Hello Everyone,

Selected shots from recent 2-day landscape photography workshop with Andrew.

Not the easiest conditions, especially on Day 1 around Glen Coe & Loch Linnhe, plenty of rain, strong wind but also moments of sunshine, summer definitely turns into Autumn now. Few more sunny moments on Day 2 around Loch Duich & Isle of Skye...

Day 1

Corpach, near Fort William, shore of Loch Linnhe with old boat and Ben Nevis hiding in clouds beyond...

Moment of sunshine at Rannoch Moor and heavy clouds above Glen Coe

Sunshine didn't last long and it started to rain again so we finished the day photographing Castle Stalker near Port Appin, too cloudy for sunset but still a nice place to finish...

Day 2

On second day we were very pleased to see more sunshine mixed with clouds and a bit of rain. Nice mix of vibrant, sunny foreground and darker, moody mountains in background, photographed from Carr Brae viewpoint above Loch Duich

Another shot showing the contrast between colourful foreground and moody background, taken at Carr Brae viewpoint looking towards Loch Duich and Glen Shiel

Elgol on Isle of Skye is always a fascinating place to visit and photograph, morning, day or evening it always offers great views and richly detailed rocks in foreground

Low tide uncover more of the sandy beach with nice patterns of grey and yellow sand that contrasts nicely with darker rocks and Black Cuillin mountains in background, Elgol, Isle of Skye

My favourite combination of dramatic sky, mountains and patches of sunshine that brighten up details and colours, Elgol, Isle of Skye

Final destination - The Quiraing, Isle of Skye, cloudy and cold but beautiful as always!
