Himalaya

This is a photograph I shot whilst walking the Annapurna circuit many years ago.

It's a pretty simple 2 week walk through some of the most majestic scenery on the planet. Along the route there are many cheap places to sleep the night.... in fact, when I walked this route in the off-season, the guesthouses weren't actually charging for a room... only food.

You can easily navigate the whole route on your own using a specialist trekking map bought from a local shop.

It's a great journey if you would like to clear your head or get some quality thinking time alone.

Dude, wow.....I want to take this journey! Amazing pic!

This is an awesome photo. It captures the foreground and the awesome mountains in the background

One of the most unique horse photos I've seen...beautiful. Resteemed!

Just spectacular scenery and photo. Thanks for sharing @timothyallen

Nothing like a good long hike for gaining perspective...better than a therapist in many cases....

Best regards.

Peace.

This photo is emotionally overwhelming. I have no words.

A great place to retire, if there was good internet here and easy access to fried chicken.

wonderful landscape

Very nice image. I too have walked (part of) this circuit and I had a great experience. I've been told that now you have to have a guide to walk it, but can't confirm that.

I was there 2 years ago, we were not required to hire a guide.
