I waited, and for 5 minutes the sun peaked through it all and gave us a show. I found shelter and kept the camera on the tripod when the others left.

Here is another one from fifteen minutes before the sun started to creep under the clouds:

          Those types of clouds in that last picture are some of my favorite skies. Real nice dark blue with light kinda sorta shining in through the cracks. Love it... great time to be at a great place.

          I need to go there more often... i get distracted by the easier free-er valley of the gods down the road... but monument valley is epic.
