Photographers heaven @ Kirkjufellsfoss, Iceland

Iceland has multiple stunning waterfalls. One of the best waterfalls to photograph is Kirkjufellsfoss. Kirkjufellsfoss is located on the Snaefellsnes peninsula in the north west of Iceland. Directly adjecent to the waterfall is Kirkjufell, a small but steep hill. Many photographers prefer to photograph the waterfall and Kirkjufell in one shot. However, in my opinion, the waterfall is best photographed in its full strength.
Although the waterfall isn't very high, it is very pittoresque. Especially when using a longer exposure time, you can really capture the flow of the water. In this case, I used a neutral density filter that allowed me to use an exposure time of 6 seconds.

Sort:

Many a calm river begins as a turbulent waterfall, yet none hurtles and foams all the way to the sea.

Said by Mikhail Lermontov.
But actually, Kirkjufellsfoss is located rather close to the ocean (about 100 meter or so) and may therefore foam all the way to the sea :)
