The diary game: computer specifics

Computers can be described as information appliances that utilize both hardware and software for information processing. Hardware elements include the CPU, central processing unit, that is the main part of the computer and is responsible for execution of orders and performing numerous tasks. Random-access memory (RAM) ensures that information is stored on a temporary basis in order to allow the speed of the computer in the use of programs.

Hard drives (HDD) or solid state drives (SSD) serve as the secondary storage devices that are used to save information on a permanent basis. Other key elements include the motherboard which is the one joining all the parts of the system, and the GPU, graphic processing unit, which is responsible for generation of pictures, in particular movies and games. There are input and output units such as a keyboard and mouse, a screen to enable a user to use the system.

There is also software which consists of programs like Windows, macOS, Linux os among others, which acts as the system controlling the hardware and software components and interfaces with the users. These are the multiple components of computation which come together to serve a specific purpose in the best manner possible.
