Black and White
I’ve found that B/W photography is one of the most challenging. It is different from just converting a color portrait into B/W.
A particular combination of clothes and backgrounds don’t work that very well together. There is either to much contrast or to little or not on the right places.
You can get a better taste for it if you change the camera mode into B/W in the menu.
Than take a walk outside and shoot some pictures. If you would like to add to it shoot a colored one too. You have the colored one as a reference and so you can study both side by side and compare them in regards to the lighting, shadows, contrast, composition, leading lines and much more.
Over time you can see much better in the B/W mode and your photography will improve :-)
