Kola Superdeep Borehole. Abandoned achievement of humanity.
In 1989 the deepest artificial point on Earth (12,262-metre-long / 40,230 ft) was created as the result of a scientific drilling project of the Soviet Union. Place where impossible had happened, right now is no more than remnants of ruin. This pictures were made this year by photographer Artem Achkasov. Right now I'm looking at this pictures and think, what does any achievement costs if it goes to devastation in any way...
