Like humans, animals also need affection, care. Perhaps they do not offer you anything in return, but it has been shown that pet animals have a positive effect on a person's physical and mental health.

A pet does not ask questions, does not issue judgments or claims, he loves you unconditionally, you too, a situation that can fulfill your basic human emotional needs.
A perfectly normal and healthy thing, recommended and encouraged by the therapists, as long as it does not turn into an escape or fear of people, intimate relationships and socialization.
