is one of the biological resources found in coastal and marine areas. The term "seaweed" is botanically confused because it is used for two different "plant" groups. In Indonesian, the term seaweed is used to refer to both sea weeds and seagrasses.

Sea weeds are referred to as members of a vegetation group known as algae ("algae"). These resources can usually be found in waters associated with the presence of coral reef ecosystems. Natural sea weeds can usually live on sand and dead corals.
