Melbourne Stencil Art #1
Melbourne, Australia has a reputation as the 'stencil capital of the world' (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_art_in_Melbourne).
Back in 2005, when Youtube and smartphones were mere twinkles in the eye of the now, I took some time to wander around Melbourne's mash-mangled labyrinths and document as much stencil art and graffiti as I could find.
I discovered that the quivering, chameleonic epidermis of the back-alleys was an ever-changing art gallery of a vibrant subculture.
In every nook and cranny you can find little evanescent treasures tattooed to brick, glass, metal and concrete canvases. Layer upon layer, memory upon memory, glyph upon glyph.

Hayabusa (はやぶさ) Satellite. In 2005 this bad boy landed on a bloody asteroid. Then returned to Earth in 2010, landing in outback South Australia.
