Death of a militiaman

"Death of a Militiaman" is one of the best known photographs of the Spanish Civil War. It was taken by Robert Capa at the moment when Federico Borrell García is hit by a bullet.

  

Near the ground, he placed the camera up and captured the moment of the collapse of a soldier after receiving the impact of the bullet. The photograph was captured on September 5, 1936.
