Scotland

Traveling Scotland for the last 20 years I find myself drawn further out into the wild islands. The Callanish Stones are one of the great rewards of the journey out to the Isles of Lewis and Harris, a reminder that people have lived here for more than 5,000 years. Most visitors stop at the Isle of Skye but many treasures lie beyond, out here in the Outer Hebrides. This week I’m featuring a number of them on my feed (link on my profile page), a mini-guide to some major islands.

Visiting Isle of Skye is one of my biggest dream! I hope maybe this year :)

This is an incredibly beautiful photo. Scotland is such a beautiful country..so wild and original..I was once there..we traveled by public transport..which was sometimes a challenge. We got to know many nice Scots. Unfortunately we did not make it to the islands ... but maybe someday ..This is an inspirational post. Thanks for sharing.
