Its Light - Sacred

in #photography10 days ago

I've been here many times.

It isn't easy to get to this special place.

It's far away from highways and other fast routes.

There isn't any airport nearby.

I have to drive for several hours through steep, narrow and curvy mountain roads.

It is worth it, though. Totally.

The best part of it... I can't explain well why. At least not with my words.

Meteora, Greece... Feel its light?

I'm not sure which is more sacred in this place - the rock formations or the monasteries lol. Because I have a special attitude towards religious structures in their modern form, especially towards Eastern Orthodox ones full of prohibitions against women and not only.
But it sure is an extraordinary place. At least because of the rocks. Where there are rocks, there are endless mysteries, just as it turned out to be the case with Bulgaria too, something I didn't suspect until recently, before I visited some rock formations and structures...

Thank you! Once again, you're making me reflect on different aspects of life...
Perhaps both are sacred, in their own separate way and as a whole...

you're making me reflect on different aspects of life

Glad to read that. I think that's basically what I've been trying to do for a long time - to show some other point of view sometimes, even if it's an incredible one. 😃 But in this case, I don't know, it can be debated which is better, or better, or best, you know...😇

I think we need more of that, no matter what :)))

Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
