| Haven't found a lot of information about this church. It has been built fairly recently, but I don't know exactly when, perhaps 2016. From the outside (as usual, I haven't ventured inside), the design is fairly minimalistic for an Orthodox church. The glass of the side entrances shows some nice decorations, though. & when the afternoon sun shines through, there is some nice colour effect. | Konnte nicht allzu viele Infos über diese Kirche finden. Sie wurde erst vor kurzem gebaut, vielleicht im Jahr 2016. Von außen (wie üblich war ich nicht drin) ist das Design eher minimalistisch, jedenfalls für eine orthodoxe Kirche. Das Glas der Seiteneingänge ist jedoch recht interessant. Wenn die Nachmittagssonne durchscheint, gibt es rechte nette Farbeffekte. |

| Another nice feature on the doors are double-headed eagles. They refer to the flag of the Greek Orthodox Church. The eagle holds a sword & an orb. Sie gehen zurück auf die Fahne der Griechisch-Orthodoxen Kirche. Der Adler hält ein Schwert & ein Reichskreuz. Das Ding über den Köpfen soll eine Krone darstellen. |

| The church is named after Saint Margaret the Virgin, also called Saint Marina the Great Martyr. She is supposed to have lived in or near Antioch in Pisidia & one of her major achievements was being swallowed by Satan in the shape of a dragon & surviving it. (Well, religion, although it seems that story was too much for some in the church, too.) She is said to have been martyred in 304. As one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers, Saint Margaret is perhaps a more helpful saint than most. | Die Kirche wurde nach der Heiligen Margareta von Antiochia benannt, in der Ostkirche auch als Heilige Marina, die große Märtyrerin, bekannt. Sie soll in oder bei Antiochia in Pisidien gelebt haben & eine ihrer herausragenden Leistungen war, daß sie vom Teufel in Gestalt eines Drachen verschluckt wurde & es überlebte. (Nunja, Religion, obwohl diese Geschichte wohl auch einigen Kirchenoberen zu weit ging.) Angeblich wurde sie im Jahr 304 zur Märtyrerin. Als eine der Vierzehn Nothelfer ist sie wohl etwas nützlicher als viele andere Heilige. |

| If you want to visit this otherwise rather unremarkable church, you should perhaps do so on 17 July (Julian calendar), because on that day they celebrate Saint Margaret. | Wer diese ansonsten eher unauffällige Kirche mal besuchen will, sollte es vielleicht am besten am 17. Juli (Julianischer Kalender) tun, da dann dort die Heilige Margareta geehrt wird. |
