| Finally, the first SMS View on Hive. Since I moved to the new apartment, I have been just too lazy. Also, this was a day that I rode around for quite a long time, & so have a lot of pictures. Wasn't sure how to split them into posts. Now I've decided to divide that day into 4 major posts: 2 churches, 1 SMS View & 1 about an abandoned factory. | Endlich der erste MBM-Blick auf Hive. Seit ich umzog, bin ich einfach zu faul. Allerdings war das auch ein Tag, an dem ich ziemlich lange rumradelte & relativ viele Bilder machte. War mir nicht sicher, wie ich die in Beiträge aufteilen sollte. Jetzt habe ich mich entschieden, daraus 4 Posts zu machen: 2 Kirchen, 1 MBM-Blick & 1 über eine verlassene Fabrik. |

| Beside the 2 churches, I noticed a number of ikonostasia. This is one of the simpler style: | Neben den 2 Kirchen fielen mir auch einige Ikonostasia auf. Diese ist eher simpel: |

| The cross is simply painted on. The inside featured some nice iconography, though. | Das Kreuz ist nur aufgemalt. Innen gab es jedoch einige nette Ikonen. |

| A bit further on I found another house for sale. If you're interested, the phone number is on the board: | Etwas weiter gab es ein weiteres, zum Verkauf stehendes Haus. Wer interessiert ist, kann ja anrufen: |

| Then I turned to the coast, since the sun was slowly going down. Was still a bit too early for the sunset, but the thin clouds provided some nice structure. | Danach wandte ich mich der Küste zu, da die Sonne langsam unterging. War noch etwas zu früh für den Sonnenuntergang, aber die dünnen Wolken produzierten doch recht interessante Strukturen. |

| No idea what that was. Anyway, an incoming ferry required my attention: | Keine Ahnung, was das war. Eine einfahrende Fähre lenkte mich aber sowieso ab: |

| The coast itself didn't offer much, no dead hermit crabs, no snail or clam shells. But before I went back north, at least a little death made its appearance: | Die Küste selber wer recht inhaltsleer, keine toten Einsiedlerkrebse, keine Schneckenhäuser oder Muschelschalen. Aber bevor ich nordwärts fuhr, machte der Tod doch noch seine Aufwartung: |

| The tail was cut off, probably by a boat propeller. Or perhaps a predator bit it off. Either way, it was fatal. Fittingly, on my way back home, I came across more ikonostasia. | Der Schwanz fehlte, vermutlich durch eine Bootsschraube abgerissen. Vielleicht war's aber auch ein Raubfisch. Jedenfalls fatal. Passenderweise fanden sich etwas später einige weiter Ikonostasia. |

| Back north I took the coastal road, which seems to be quite accident prone. There are numerous ikonostasia along that road. The above is of the most common style. It's supposed to represent a church. Although, in this case, some arsehole had vandalised it. | Nach Norden fuhr ich die Küstenstraße entlang, die anscheinend recht unfallträchtig ist. Man sieht diverse Ikonostasia an ihrem Rand. Oben sieht man den gebräuchlichsten Stil, der eine Kirche repräsentieren soll. In diesem Fall hat sie aber ein Arschloch beschädigt. |

| Above & below are also little churches. Inside the one above are little lights in form of crosses. No picture or name, though. The pink one below has some more elaborate decoration. | Oben & unten sieht man auch solch kleine Kirchen. In der obigen stehen kleine Lichter in Form von Kreuzen. Gibt jedoch weder Name noch Bild. Bei der auf dem unteren Bild hat man sich etwas mehr Mühe gegeben. |

| Because the horizon was completely covered in clouds, the sunset was not visible. But at least I got a nice shot just before the sun completely disappeared: | Da der Horizont komplett wolkenverdeckt war, ließ sich der Sonnenuntergang nicht beobachten. Aber immerhin erwischte ich die Sonne, kurz bevor sie hinter den Wolken verschwand: |

| When I rode along the ferry harbour, refugees were again sitting on the roof of an abandoned factory to wait for the police to disappear. This year, there are more refugees again. Last year was quieter, it seems. | Am Fährhafen saßen wiedermal Flüchtlinge auf dem Dach einer verlassenen Fabrik, darauf wartend, daß die Polypen abzogen. Dieses Jahr gibt es wieder mehr Flüchtlinge. Letztes Jahr schien ruhiger zu sein. |
