Grasshopper
The grasshopper body consists of 3 main parts, namely head, chest (thorax) and abdomen (abdomen). Grasshopper also has 6 six foot jointed, 2 pairs of wings, and 2 antennas. Long back legs are used to jump while short forelimbs are used for walking. Despite having no ears, locusts can hear. The hearing instrument of the locust is called the tympanum and is located on the abdomen near the wing. Tympanum is shaped like a large round disk consisting of several processors and nerves used to monitor the vibrations in the air, functionally similar to a human eardrum. Grasshopper breathes with trachea.
