Banyan tree is the most venerated tree among the Hindus. It is believed that God has given the shelter to his devotees according to Hindu mythology. This tree can survive over centuries and often called as Kalpabriksha. Also is a Bahupada tree because its roots can go down to the soil forming additional trunks. It is believed that Lord Brahma is the Root ,Lord Vishnu is the Bark while Lord Shiva is the Branches. It represents as well as symbolizes Tridev.
