FLOWERS teach us LOVE
Walking casually around the house today, there seemed to be nothing interesting. Every face of earthly soil had taken cover under the umbrella of goat weeds, carpet grasses and other shrubs. The early February rainfall had been merciful to the green nature and now the reddish brown sandy soil that surrounded our house during the dry season no longer became the centre of attraction.
The green nature may not have passed for an improvement on the reddish earth if I had not spotted a beautiful flower that grow amongst it. It was not quite obvious to sight as regards its location but it's flamboyance was conspicuous enough.
The flower possessed the royal colour, purple, and made of it something so appealing; something that drew the heart, this time not to royalty but to something so uniting, so common amongst men, so natural and unavoidable. It drew my heart to Love!
Today's flower did remind me to love and to love more genuinely even in 'Shrubby', 'weedy' circumstances. I wish it reminds YOU TOO, MY READER.
