Drawn to a glowing red balloon at the opposite end of the room, I made a beeline across the dance floor and ended up beside a group of three easy-going friends.
One of them looked at me, grinned, then handed me a purple balloon with a tiny LED bulb inside. I smiled deeply and felt my eyes widen like a four year old.
