Here is a collection of photos captured in and around the town of Banff, Alberta. The water is always this beautiful turquoise colour, made this way by glacial silt or "rock flour", which stays suspended in the water. Add in a little bit of sunshine and this is what you get!

I thought the natural scenery in NZ was hard to beat, but I think this area gives it a good run such beautiful scenery and the color of that lake so beautiful
The more you talk about NZ the more I want to go there, my interest is peaked!

Beautiful! I love the science involved in the color of water- on the Amalfi coast, there were various grottos that had different colored water because of the sun shining on the minerals in the stone. Very cool!
