I used to have 18-200, and i had a hard time getting a closer shot with birds. now with tamron 150-600. it's much easier. thou i still have to hide sometimes so as not to spooke the birds.
There are 2 munias in the park i shot. This one and the chestnut munia. also java sparrow. i did saw one. but very rarely.

Thanks and enjoy the photos. :)

Beautiful series.

Hi @digitalis... That is a pretty bird! Attractive breast pattern..

Lol sorry that sounds funny but beautiful photos

Yeah. it's like a fish scales pattern.

Very attractive!

Excellent photos. Love that you got them while feeding on the seeds.

Thanks. actually that is the best time to shot them. i can get near when they are feeding. :) my only problem is the grass blocking the shot :(

Great shot, of a beautiful bird

I know right beautiful photos

Thank You .

Oh, what a detailed pattern on his chest. I am not familiar with these, so my guess is we don't have them here in the US - but, I can gaze upon yours all day long. Can you tell me the difference between the yellow chested on and the other?

Stunning photos and what a beautifull bird!

It is so sad that this is not seen in Malaysia in the wild these days.
