Killing the Time

Modern times come with some different attitudes and habits. Nowadays you can’t let your kids roam around by themselves and explore the world like we used to. There are simply too many dangers around and you can’t ignore them. So when kids want to spend some time on the fresh air you have to go with them, letting them have fun in the park or beach, keeping the distance so they have the feeling of freedom and independence, but still don’t go too far away to keep them safe.

Those days can be stressful, at least for me, I am one of those crazy overprotective mothers which have a small heart attack if they climb too high (everything above pavement is too high for them in my eyes, lol) or do any normal children “acrobatic” move.

A camera is my best friend in those situations, it pulls my attention to something else and calms me down. This series of photos is the product of one of our trips to a park. Taken with Sony a6000 and 50 mm lens. The day was really sunny without a cloud in the sky so I set the aperture to f5.6.
