Overcoming fear, my experience.
The top view without a drone.
It was an adventure!
of course, i am a bit scared of height, but i have always wanted to have the top view of this location taken by me!
so on this day i was happy and luckily for me my love (my digital camera) was with me
well, some do believe your happiest moment is just before death...lol.
i have always wanted to do this for the past four years, i guess fear didn't give me a chance.
As a final year student, at first i thought i was probably being manipulated to do this...lol...
seeing my courageous friend around...boom he didn't think it twice!...off we go.
he had to climb first, would have probably fallen if i did.
you need to see the joy and 'achievement' written all over me, as though i just got a scholarship for a masters degree programme.
yes! i overcame fear! the best part of the whole story...i was indeed glad.
with a Nikon D7100 with a sigma lens 17-50mm, i took some shots, at this point i was fulfilled (BA in photography....lol)
at this point i felt i should have a drone...i love the view...
he made me speechless by going to the edge, immediately i suggested we leave to avoid any bad happenings. i could barely come close to him. he sat at the edge for about four(4)minutes, i had my eyes closed because i couldn't imagine that for a second. Take a picture of me, he said...
guess what...he said i should do the same! BAD IDEA i replied.
and then he reminded me of my fears for the past four years. if i can overcome that this day then i can do just that right away. what a word...so i did...i was so scared of trying it...but i overcame!
Yes! at last...four years fear conquered...but nobody told me about VERTIGO (a feeling of dizziness caused especially by being in a very high place)
i am glad i still have a chance to share this experience.
End of Fear.....
