I have always loved cemetaries and grave yards. In New England we have some amazing ones and there is one in our village that we often go to in the Summer to have a picnic, it sits on a hill overlooking the water and graves as early as 1600s.

Here in the UK (where I am lucky to be part of the year) we have amazing grave yards. Our little village here has a wonderful church and graveyard that I walk through each morning on my way to the footpaths. They are very integrated into the landscape here.

When I was young, my family took me to them on my birthday, as I was born on all souls day, and we'd clean the graves and leave little flowers and gifts for our departed relatives.
