Steemit! Started mining BTC in 2011 and here I am

Hi Everyone!

My name is Drew and I am a mechanical designer/engineer, programmer, musician, and artist.  I spend too many hours at the gym trying to fight looking a little older and staying strong.  I can never have too many things going on at once it seems.  I am definitely a Crypto enthusiast!

Not sure how everyone feels, but this site is exciting and really trending! My wife and I are saving for a home and I am always looking for new ways to make a little extra income without spending any money investing anything more than my time. Combining two very popular things in social media and blockchain technology is an incredible thing that was meant to be. Being new to the Steem community having only found it yesterday when I saw it on an exchange I wanted to say Hi.  I started doing crypto via Bitcoin back at the end of 2011, when I could mine 3 -4 bitcoins per day, I have really embraced as many opportunities of this technology as I can.  Foolishly, I spent most of those on little vacations before the price skyrocketed.  I have been involved in several coin startups, and I am currently working on one called FPUcoin (FloatingPoint).

A little about me (what I do) :

I am a mechanical designer by day and a music producer/graphic artist by night.  As a mechanical designer I get to do a lot of design, 3d photorealistic renderings for proposals, and FEA (finite lement analysis).  The music thing has always been a not for profit endeavor to give those who could never afford studio time or the equipment themselves the opportunity to record.  I want to delve deeper into Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology with hopes of starting my one thing one day.

This is going to be an amazing ride, I can only imagine where it is going from here!

Sincerely,

Drew

Welcome, We have a lot FEA/CFD to talk about :)

Sounds good. I was surprised there were not categories for music and engineering. What applications do you work with for FEA?

Solar PV support structures optimization

I'm primarily in Solidworks Simulation for FEA, otherwise all over the map for CAD software.
