Not so free.

The lights fire off in the distance, the booming echoes of what freedom is. And yet the irony, like the sulphorous smoke in the air, what's being done is illegal, but nobody cares. The people of this country celebrate the day they declared their independence from the overbearing rule of the nations that discovered it. Like a huge fuck you, we don't need you anymore. Yet there are those of us who are not free, never free. And we are in the shadows hoping to remain undiscovered, blending in, pretending to be free just like you and this country, this nation, but it's all under guise.
