Seeing Frogs with Macro Lens

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

Hi Stemian,,,, As usual, the day I neglected to look for small creatures, today I made weary by froglet, he jumped anywhere. But very pleasant... :D

This is a type of frog (Rana picturata Boulenger).
Frog is a medium-sized, triangular head is equivalent to the body, tympanum very clear. Terkstur smooth skin with upper limb beercak-black with bright yellow spots. I found this in one of the parks in the city in Aceh.

How can you approach the frog so close and not scare them?

Very nicely done! Impressive :-)

@Playfulfoodie :) thank you very much

"And I do not know what kind of frogs, a very small size, I looked under the leaves of wood."
That is actually not a frog (Fam. Ranidae) but a toad (it could be for example Fam. Bufonidae but there are other possibilities but I am not a frog-expert :-) and from just a few pictures I cannot tell you what it exactly is). You can recognize toads because they have glands behind the eyes, their skin is more rough than the skin of frogs and legs are shorter.

meaning it is categorized as a frog? For rough skin?

No, sorry, maybe my text was not so clear:
The second animal (in the 5th photo) is not a frog. It is a close relative of a frog, but no frog.
It belongs to the Order Anura like a frog.
But it belongs to another Family: frogs belong to the Family Ranidae and frogs have a rather smooth skin and long legs.
But the animal in your 5th photo has a rough skin, somewhat shorter legs and glands behind the eyes: it belongs to any family of toads ...
Sorry: I didn't want to make things complicated! :) Your photos are great as always. :)

heheheh i know :)
