Caves, ww1 trenches, philosophy and what not
We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light...
-Plato
This is the virgin cave on the hill behind Monfalcone, it was uncovered during the digging of trenches in ww1 and as was sealed with no entrances it was named "caverna vergine" used during the war as a commanding station, storage, dorm and hospital.
trenches dug out of the rock and then reinforced with concrete.
stayed there way after sunset enjoying the colours of the sky.
love the way these bushes contrast with the white rocks :D
this is one of my favourite spots, i can reach it in train in 20 min and is right above the town, sometimes you meet some ppl but still you are constantly reminded that there is a town out there by the passing trains, ships and other industrial town sounds :|
