Waiting For The Japanese Quince To Flower

in #photography6 years ago

It's still early for flowers to open as the weather is not exactly warm. Nights are still cold, but nature can't be stopped, buds are growing and flowers are preparing to open.

The Japanese quince has a lot of buds and is going to open in a few days but till then, I thought
I would show you some of the photos I took last year.

Funny thing about digital photography, you can use it for documenting whatever you want. Going through the photos I've noticed that these were taken in April 17. Knowing the exact date of the photo, you can compare the evolution, not that I'm into it. Who has time for things like this? i don't, but still, it's interesting.

Based on this comparison, this year the weather seems to be warmer and the Japanese quince is flowering one week earlier.

Even though it's spring, there's still a cold period to come, which can harm plants, unfortunately. This is not mandatory, but unfortunately it happens very often. Let's hope this year won't do much damage.

Let's hope there will be no so cold days that could harm the plants.
It is still not as warm as I have expected and even though it is sunny, the wind is pretty much cold.
But at least the temperatures are above zero at night.

I agree with you totally. We are lucky though, don't have wind here, or at least very rarely. April is a tricky month, let's hope it won't do much damage.

They are beautiful @erikah. Are they going to bloom after snowy season?

Thank you @rikaz89, yes, after the snowy season comes spring and that's when they bloom.
