Last Weekend's Visitor

This beauty stopped by long enough for me to grab the camera. It's the first owl I've seen outside of a sanctuary/zoo situation. It was late afternoon, and owls being nocturnal, I surely didn't expect to see one at all.

I just happened to be walking by the window when his wing span caught my eye and he landed on the branch of our Walnut tree (I think it's a Walnut tree).

I'm like a child seeing a magic show sometimes when it comes to nature, and this was definitely one of those times.
