Family day out at a furry pool :)

Growing up in a country where approximately 61.3% of the population are Muslims i.e. Malaysia, dogs are viewed unfavourably and seemingly impure according to the Islam religion. Nonetheless, I've seen more and more of the younger generations of Muslims beginning to change their perception of dogs which they would usually fear. E.g. a person would scream/shout at the sight of a leashed dog about 20 meters away. Some would go to the extent of running away.

Thus, I was elated when I discovered despite all these, there is a swimming facility specifically for dogs in Malaysia. Where our furkids can learn to swim, enjoy the cool water, and work out at the same time (much needed activity for my fluffy Suki).

This paradise is called Swim Paradise off Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur. After a swim, they have facilities for self-grooming equipped with a blower, designated bathing and drying area. At the end of the session, snacks are provided (for furkids only). Us, humans would have to purchase our own..hahaha.

Finally, a place where my furkids, Suki and Bruno are more than welcome.

Hope to see more of these places flourishing in Malaysia!
