Dilapidated Vologda. Zavokzalny microdistrict–2
Recently, I studied one microdistrict of Vologda using panoramas in Yandex maps. On the street images there were dilapidated wooden houses, but when I was in that place, I saw a wasteland. Those houses were demolished. Yes, there are old cards and complaining about them is stupid. But the fact is different. Those houses were decent looking, but they were already gone. At any time, these houses that are in this post may disappear too.
With a strong desire, you can find out in the department of municipal services which of the houses and when will be demolished. But I have no purpose to capture every home. My task is to convey the outgoing atmosphere of wooden blocks.
By the way, it becomes fashionable to take such photographs, where there is an attempt to convey the atmosphere of ordinary courtyards. It is already widespread all over the world and from this I am only joyful.
People share photos of everyday places, taken under street lighting from different parts of the world.
The photo project about dilapidated housing began spontaneously, but was hooked by the fact that it works. Plus, I like the feel of such courtyard spaces.
The value of these photos is still negligible, but it will increase over the years.
Vologda has a lot more contrasts.
Youth Street.
Such houses always look like a house of former kindergarten.
And this exists in housing practice, when non-residential buildings are given for housing. I don’t know anything about this house.
On the Youth Street there are very old residential wooden houses of the corridor type.
Perhaps they are already considered dilapidated and are standing in line for resettlement. These are just my assumptions in view of the untidy surrounding area.
Even if this is not so, then all the same they will not stand for a long time.
Therefore, they need to be captured.
Sometimes I don’t like photographs immediately after shooting, and sometimes vice versa - on the camera’s display the photo looks like a masterpiece, but when processed it turns out that it’s not. I am more for the first option. Even if I don’t like the photo at first, then it acquires value for me and I change my mind about it. And in the second option, disappointment occurs, which then does not disappear.
Nearby is the train station. To get to it, you need to go through the ground crossing.
On Mozhaisky Street, there are many sheds in the yards.
Osanovskaya street is very gloomy. It passes between the wooden huts.
A lot of empty spaces that are not occupied with anything. Strange, but I saw very few gardens. Perhaps the impact of urban ecology.
At this point in the future, multi-story buildings can grow. But it is not exactly.
Little is known about the future. For this, I am working on a project.
The houses here are in three rows. Between them are long sheds.
On the opposite side of Mozhaisky Street there are also some old dilapidated houses.
This street runs parallel to the railway. The roar of passing trains is heard every minute.
