๐ Beautiful Backyard Mushrooms - Part 8 (Original) ๐
I found this little family of mushrooms grouped together and sprouting out in and around an old rail track tie that I have in my yard. It appears that there are two types here. One has dark gills and the other light gills. If anyone has any information on the type of these mushrooms, please share below in the comments.

Very cute!
Thanks.
Beautiful mushrooms ... Can you eat them?
I'm not sure if they are edible. The brown gilled ones look like they could be field mushrooms and hence edible but I really don't know, so I wouldn't recommend it.
how can you tell which mushrooms are poisonous, psychedelic, or edible?
@schemeshot, thanks for asking. It really comes down to education. Buy a really good field guide book or two with lots of pictures. Even better if it's tailored for your specific region. Also search online or join a local mycology group.
As far as psychedelics goes I only know of two types of groups. Those mushroom containing Psilocybin and those containing Muscimol. The first one is typically found in what people often refer to as magic mushrooms. Probably the more potent of the two. I have exactly zero experience in this, it should be said. They are basically illegal almost everywhere, so I don't even go there. The other is what is found in certain varieties of Amanita mushrooms (think super mario bros.) such as the Muscaria. Although legalities are not really an issue here, the problem is that certain varieteis of Amanita are poisionous to various extents. Some are even deadly poisonous. So all I can say here is stay away unless you know what you are doing and understand the risks fully. Good luck!
Stigmatatata from Lake Titicaca!
huh?
I have no bunghole!
I see. :)
Thanks for your comments.
Nice freeinthought. The Matrix loves it.
Thanks!
Sadly i do not know a name for these either :) I wonder how many varieties anb species of mushrooms are out there? :)
I often wonder that myself. I have two nice reference books with hundreds of varieties described and still I come across many online or in person that are not documented in either book.
Maybe shrooms just evolve constantly changing shapes and forms. And compound? :))
What's your favorite mushroom? I'm fascinated by them mushroom ๐
@pretzelgirlsandy right now I'm fascinated by the Amanita Muscaria. Are you interested in mushrooms?

Mushrooms are fascinating. Here are some I posted a few days ago, if you're into fungus.
