Presentation

My name is Gabriel Romero, born in #Venezuela. My father was a hobby   #photographer, therefore, since I can remember I've had a camera in my hands. In my home, small always had access to cameras, accessories, books and magazines, they did inspire me to pursue this hobby.

My first steps were with an analog camera with fixed targets SPOMATIC Pentax 35mm, 50mm and 135mm. Then forays into the digital world with small Sony Ciber-Shot 3.2 Mega Pixeles and Samsung PL100 12.2 Mega Pixeles cameras.

Until in 2013 I bought a Nikon D5200 and a Tamron 28-200 zoom, as a first step towards the professional world of DSLR photography and videos.

Inspiration or passion

Photography has always been there, next to me, since I was little. I have taken photos for many years and for a long time know it is an art that inspires me and excites me. I have never studied formally, I have always been self-taught. A couple of years ago I decided I want to go from being an amateur to a professional and live the rest of my life taking pictures throughout the world.

I have been fortunate to travel to several countries and in my travels I could go outlining my photographic subjects which are mainly landscapes, architecture, night and macros cities. I have a hobby is astronomy and astrophotography have taken some but not scientific and artistic goals. I would like to venture into the portrait, fashion, photojournalism and make videos DSLR.

In 2013 I started dabbling in the world of stock photography, it's a tough world but certainly not going to stop fighting to get that many people know the composition of my photographs.

In 2015 participates in a photographic tour (Long Distance Expeditions Photo) to the desert region of Paraguana in Venezuela with the team of Roberto Mata Photography Workshop. There, almost all participants were school photographers, had techniques learned in a classroom and were showing they had learned well. This for me was a way to measure if it really served to this and wanted to do it professionally.

Gradually over the years my bank photographs has been growing and it was necessary to find a way to organize and improve their presentation. Thanks to technology we have today and my ease in the world of computing, I started using Adobe Lightroom and again a world of knowledge and inspiration opens before me.

I think the best job that can exist is to get paid to do an activity that you like and photography is something that is in my veins and if I pay for it even better. One more reason to become a professional photographer.

I think that in this world you have to have ambitions and fight tirelessly to achieve those dreams. Make photographic exhibitions of my works, have thousands of followers on social networks, it is a great inspiration to keep going.
