Reminiscing about last summer... The Beauty of Croatia part 1.
Since summer has allready started and i won't be doing much travelling this year, because my girlfriend and i are expecting our very first child around november, I've found myself going through pictures i've taken on our last summer vacation in the beautiful country Croatia.
In my sparetime i'm an avid photographer and i love to take my camera anywhere i go. Last year i visited Croatia. I stayed in a small fishing villige called "Lovran", i'll write more about that later.
What really stood out from every wonderful sight i've seen was the Plitvice Lakes National Park. It is one of the oldest national parks in Southeast Europe and also the largest national park in Croatia. In 1979 it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register and looking at the pictures, you can clearly see why.
In my opinion, if the garden of Eden was a place on earth, this would be it.
The lakes are renowned for their distinctive colors, ranging from azure to green, grey or blue. The colors change constantly depending on the quantity of minerals or organisms in the water and the angle of sunlight.

You can spend an entire day in the beauty of nature here. There are plenty of hiking trails as well as boardwalks that go over the lakes and waterways.
Walking across these will take your breath away as you glance down and see all the way to the bottom through the clear azure water.
Keep in mind that swimming isn’t allowed at these lakes due to its UNESCO World Heritage listing. But that doesn’t mean that you won’t have an amazing day here.

An alternative way to see the beauty of this park is by renting a rowboat. Which is something i can definetely reccomend to anyone.
You can see everything through these clear waters.
If ever i get the chance to visit this place again, i'll defintely would love to come back here.

Funny story, I also visited Croatia last summer! The only other country in this part of Europe I found so beautiful was Bosnia! :)
I've never been to Bosnia before. Would love to visit it some day. Is there any place you would recommend?

Those are amazing travel pictures and a great review of your trip! I would love to see some more of the world through your eyes, the way you see it is beautiful.
Have you looked into the #introduceyourhometown tag? You may be inspired to find more places to travel to, and be able to show us why the place you live in is worth a look too.
Thanks for the compliment. I haven't looked into that tag yet. Now that i know it exists, i'll definetely check it out. I love my hometown and have some nice pictures and stories to share about it.
