Yellow Elder
I couldn't resist the chance to stop and take pictures of these flowers bloom in clusters. The Yellow Elder also known as Esperanza has created a lively surroundings as an accent to the mediterranean and spanish-style architecture here in our village.
The Yellow Elder has gained popularity in recent years as ornamental plant which works well with an eclectic landscaping style to show off its color and size.
The Yellow Elder is one of the sixteen species of bignonia family Bignoniaceae, a species of shrub in the trumpet vine-Tecoma Stans. This plant can be described as an aggressive invader to grassland and vegetation but it can conversed into medicinal plant. No wonder it is the national flower of Bahamas!
Hope you like my photos. Thanks for droppin by!
